Overview
The Concord sits between the Viper and the Infinity Max Pro. It keeps the long-range locator modes but swaps the ionic systems for a stronger coil-based package, adding a large PS50 Double-D coil for pulse induction. This makes it attractive for hunters who want long-range searching for direction and a proper deep-seeking metal detector for confirmation, without paying for the 3D ground scanner.
The three long-range modes are rated by the manufacturer for a scanning range of up to 3000 m, with depth stated at up to 100 m in automatic mode and up to 50 m in the controlled and manual modes. The controlled mode works over a stated 100 to 5000 MHz frequency range. These numbers are the manufacturer's claims and real results depend on ground and target. Ground balance, threshold, gain and sound can be adjusted on the pulse induction system.
For shallow work, the Smart Detect system uses PS36 and PS28 coils and is rated by the manufacturer to roughly 3 m, with discrimination to help find gold nuggets, jewellery and coins. The unit uses the same 5-inch colour screen, 32 GB memory and removable 21000 mAh battery as other Mega models, with an energy-saving mode, PIN lock and 12 menu languages including Urdu.
