MWF Vigor

The Vigor is a long-range locator in MWF's mid range, aimed at gold, buried treasure and underground cavities. It combines long-range locating with ionic search, and its main selling points are high sensitivity, fast response and acoustic indicators that guide the operator toward the target area. The unit is compact and handheld, so it can be carried easily across open ground, hills and farmland while scanning for signals.

A digital compass on the screen shows direction and the target path, which helps users keep a straight line while walking toward a signal over open ground. MWF states a detection depth of up to 20 m and a circular detection range of up to 2,000 m. These are the manufacturer's claims for a long-range system, and any indication should be confirmed with a conventional detector or ground scanner before excavation.

The Vigor shares its basic design with MWF's Navvy water locator, but is set up for metals and cavities rather than groundwater.
