Overview
The BR 20 Pro is the starting point of the BR Systems long-range range. It uses a single long-range locator system supported by several helper technologies that BR names B.U.M. automatic detection, G.L.Y. laser guidance and a BRF signal filter, plus automatic ground calibration to reduce the effect of mineralised soil. This keeps the device simple to learn for newcomers to long-range searching.
BR states a maximum distance of 500 metres and a maximum depth of 10 metres, lower than the bigger models in the family, which makes it a more modest tool for smaller sites. The manufacturer lists gold, precious metals, nuggets and cavities as its intended targets. These depth and distance figures are BR's claims, and long-range devices should be used to suggest search areas rather than to promise finds.
It shares the same hardware platform as its bigger brothers: PIC32 processor, 4.3-inch bright colour screen, 7800 mAh battery rated for about 20 hours, and six-language menus including English and Arabic. Optional accessories offered by BR include a hard case, extra antennas, headphones and a Power Max 25 sensor. The complete kit packs into a carry bag of about 5 kg.
