Fisher F11

The Fisher F11 is the starting point of Fisher's F-series and is built for people who simply want to switch on and begin detecting. It runs at 7.69 kHz, a frequency that responds well to coins, rings and other common targets, and it uses a waterproof 7-inch concentric coil that can be swept through wet grass, puddles or the edge of the surf. It is designed so a complete beginner can start finding targets on the first outing.

Three ready-made modes – Jewelry, Coin and Artifact – remove most of the guesswork. A nine-segment display with a 1–99 number tells you what the target is likely to be, while four different audio tones let you judge targets by sound without staring at the screen. A depth indicator helps you decide how deep to dig before you start. Sensitivity and volume can each be set across six levels to suit quiet or noisy sites.

Weighing about 2.3 lb and running on a single 9V battery, the F11 is easy for teenagers, older users and family members to carry for hours. The control box is IP54 weatherproof, so light rain is not a problem, though it should not be submerged. For Pakistani buyers it is a sensible low-cost first detector for parks, old house sites and dry beaches. It is also light enough to pack into a car boot or motorbike carrier.
