Overview
The Fisher F19 is a lightweight multi-purpose detector built on the same 19 kHz platform as the well-known Gold Bug Pro. The higher frequency makes it more responsive to small and thin targets than typical coin machines, so it is useful for relics, hammered coins, jewellery and even small gold nuggets in the right ground. It is a good step up for hobbyists who have outgrown a basic beginner machine.
It handles difficult soil with computerised ground grab plus manual adjustment and can balance all the way to salt conditions. Iron hunters get extra control through FeTone adjustable iron audio, a notch window with adjustable width and Fisher's V-Break system for choosing where tones change, which helps pick good targets out of nails and scrap. Sensitivity can be adjusted in fine steps for both discrimination and all-metal searching.
A backlit LCD shows a 1–99 target ID, depth and ground mineralisation, and the DD search coil is waterproof for wet conditions. The control box itself is not waterproof. Weighing about 2.75 lb on a single 9V battery, the F19 is a good fit for Pakistani users hunting old settlements, forts and riverbanks where mineralised soil is common. A 5-inch coil is also available for working tight, trashy spots more precisely.
