Garrett Pro-Pointer AT
Garrett's best-selling waterproof pinpointer, submersible to 6 metres with fast retune, three sensitivity levels and an LED light to find targets quickly inside the dig hole.
Overview
The PRO-Pointer AT is a handheld pinpointer that you use after your main detector has found a signal. Pushed into the hole or swept over loose soil, it tells you exactly where the target is, saving time and avoiding damage to coins and jewellery. Garrett describes it as the world's best-selling pinpointer, and it pairs well with any brand of detector.
It detects from its tip and around its full 360-degree side, and the audio and vibration grow stronger as you get closer to metal. A fast retune function narrows the detection field to home in on a target in mineralised ground or a large mass of metal, and three sensitivity levels let you adjust it to the conditions. That makes it quicker to recover targets in hard or rocky soil.
The body is bright orange for visibility, fully waterproof to 20 feet (6 m) to IP68, and includes an LED flashlight, a scraping blade, a ruler in inches and centimetres and a lanyard loop. A lost-pinpointer alarm and automatic power-off help save the 9V battery. It is an essential companion for beach, river and land hunting alike. Garrett covers it with a three-year limited warranty.
