Nokta Pointer
A tough, no-fuss waterproof pinpointer running on a standard 9V battery, with a 360-degree detection tip, vibration alerts and a built-in torch for quick target recovery.
Overview
The Nokta Pointer is the brand's straightforward, budget-friendly pinpointer. After your main detector signals a target, you use the Pointer in the hole or spoil heap to find exactly where the object is. It works with any make of metal detector and helps you dig smaller, neater holes and recover finds faster. It is a sensible first pointer for anyone building a detecting kit.
It operates at 18.2 kHz and detects from the full 360 degrees of its tip, so you can locate targets by the side as well as the end of the probe. Alerts can be set to sound, vibration or both, sensitivity is adjustable, and an LED flashlight helps when looking into dark holes or detecting in the evening. Sensitivity can be lowered for large targets or raised for small ones.
The Pointer is IP67 rated, making it fully waterproof for wet ground and rain. It runs on a common 9V alkaline battery for up to about 30 hours, switches itself off after 10 minutes of inactivity, and comes with two hard-shell cases, one of which includes a scraping blade for working through soil. Replacement batteries are easy to find almost anywhere.
