Overview
The Simplex LITE is the most affordable model in Nokta's new-generation Simplex range, aimed at beginners and casual hunters who still want a properly built, waterproof machine. This configuration comes with the 28 cm (11 inch) SX28 waterproof DD coil instead of the smaller standard SX24, giving a wider sweep so you cover more ground with each pass in open fields and on the beach.
It runs at 15 kHz and offers four search modes: Field, Park, Beach and All Metal. Targets are shown on a 01-99 ID scale, and notch discrimination plus an iron-off function let you ignore nails and foil. Ground balance can be set automatically or manually, there are 30 sensitivity levels, and a pinpoint mode helps locate the target before digging. Vibration alerts are also available for when you cannot hear the audio clearly.
The detector is fully submersible to 5 m, so it can be taken into shallow water and used on wet sand. A built-in 2,300 mAh lithium battery charges over USB, the shaft retracts for easy carrying, and the screen, keypad backlight and LED flashlight make it usable at dusk. Firmware can be updated through the USB cable. It is a practical, low-maintenance choice for first-time buyers.
