Overview
The Stinger X5 is a VLF (very low frequency) ground detector from Stinger Detectors, engineered for prospectors who need reliable performance across mineralized soil, wet ground, and trash-heavy sites. It runs three core detection modes — Discrimination, All Metal, and Pinpointer — so operators can match the search method to the target and terrain.
Automatic ground balancing pairs with a ZB filter and a dedicated Hot Rocks filter to suppress false signals from mineralized soil and non-metallic rocks that commonly trip up lower-end detectors. A numerical Target ID and an on-screen depth estimate in centimeters (All Metal mode) give operators a quick read on what's buried and roughly how deep, while the 4.3-inch TFT color display keeps the menu system accessible across eight languages.
This package includes two waterproof elliptical DD search coils — a 36 x 41cm coil for wide, deep coverage over open ground and a 26 x 32cm coil for tighter control in mineralized or debris-heavy areas — mounted on a 3-piece telescopic aluminum shaft built for long search sessions.
