AKA Intronik PRO

The Intronik PRO is a revised version of AKA's professional Intronik STF, developed by AKAMD with changes to the internal electronics. The goal is not a new feature set but cleaner signal handling, so experienced operators can get more out of AKA's software when chasing deep or awkward targets. AKA lists improved receive amplifiers, an optimised compensator circuit, upgraded comparators, faster anti-aliasing filters, better ADC circuitry, premium capacitors and an improved audio amplifier.

Like the STF it transmits two frequencies simultaneously, with coil-dependent pairs of 1-8, 2-14, 5-40 or 7-60 kHz, and accepts coils from 6 to 25 inches. AKA's published figures are about 40 cm for a 21 mm coin and 60 cm for a 32 mm coin, with large objects to around 1.5 m. Two 18650 lithium cells give about 12 hours of use, and the unit weighs about 1.93 kg.

AKA is honest that the upgrades do not extend the machine's air-test range or maximum target depth; the benefit is in signal quality and stability in real ground. It is not waterproof.
