Overview
The Signum MFD 7272M Classik is the standard version of AKA's Signum line, a series the Moscow manufacturer introduced in late 2015. It is a discriminating ground detector aimed at experienced users who want to separate good targets from iron and trash while still reaching useful depth. AKA describes improved deep-search firmware that keeps target information more reliable on deeper objects and helps ignore shallow debris.
On AKA's own figures, a 21 mm coin is detected at around 22 cm and a 32 mm coin at around 41 cm, while large objects can be picked up to roughly 1.2 m. The machine runs on six AA cells for about 18 hours and weighs approximately 1.25 kg. The search coil is bought separately, so buyers can choose a size and frequency from AKA's wide range of interchangeable DD coils to suit their soil and targets.
For Pakistani hunters, the Signum suits coin, relic and old-site searching in mixed and mineralised soils, where discrimination and ground balance matter more than raw depth alone. AKA's documentation lists automatic and manual ground balance, a pinpoint mode, dynamic and static search, hot-rock suppression and four factory search programs. It is a capable step up for users moving beyond entry-level machines.
