Overview
The Fisher F75 is the company's flagship VLF detector and has a long reputation among relic hunters for depth and for seeing good targets beside iron. It runs at 13 kHz with several frequency-shift options, and uses Digital Shielding Technology (DST) to reduce electrical interference from power lines and other detectors. Many experienced relic hunters consider it one of the strongest VLF detectors Fisher has produced.
Beyond normal discrimination, later versions add special processing: Boost for extra depth, a Cache Locating process for larger deep objects, and a fast process for separating targets in trash. Ground balance is set with a trigger-actuated FASTGRAB with manual override, and the same trigger gives no-motion pinpointing with variable pitch. A backlit LCD shows 0–99 ID, depth and mineralisation. These tools give advanced users a high level of control over how the detector handles each site.
The F75 weighs about 3.5 lb, runs around 40 hours on four AA batteries and comes with a waterproof 11-inch DD coil; the control box is not waterproof. The F75+ shares the same electronics as the F75 Ltd and is packaged with a pinpointer. For serious Pakistani hunters working ancient sites, forts and mineral ground, it is a professional-level all-rounder. It rewards users who take the time to learn its many settings and processing options.
