GER Detect Deep Seeker

The Deep Seeker is one of GER Detect's large multi-system stations and is sold under the same name by UIG Detectors. It packs five separate methods into one kit: an ionic field search system, a magnetic metals search system, a cavity detection system, a 3D imaging system and a long-range system. Each part has its own sensor, so the user can switch methods as the search narrows down.

A typical workflow is to start with the long-range and ionic systems to choose a direction, then use the magnetic and cavity systems to check the spot, and finally walk a grid with the imaging sensor to see the result in 3D on the supplied tablet. The manufacturer quotes a front range of 3000 metres and a depth of 40 metres; both are the maker's own claims.

The main unit has a 480 x 270 colour touch screen, a compass module and Bluetooth for linking to the tablet. An external 27 Wh lithium-ion battery is rated for about 10 hours. The device itself weighs 655 g and the complete kit around 5.6 kg. It is weatherproof rather than waterproof and comes with a two-year warranty. Its spread of sensors makes it suited to experienced users.
