Overview
The Titan Ger 1000 is the most complete device in the GER Detect catalogue and is also sold by its Istanbul partner, UIG Detectors. It brings together five different search systems: three-dimensional ground imaging, a pulse induction metal detector, a remote sensing (long-range) system, an ionic field search system and a magnetometer for magnetic metals. The aim is to give one team every tool from area survey to pinpointing.
The manufacturer rates the long-range system for a front range of 2500 metres and a search depth of up to 45 metres, with depth shown in metres and centimetres. These are GER Detect's own claims. The pulse induction section, running at 350 Hz with a 45 cm large coil and a 20 cm small coil, is the part most comparable to a conventional detector and is useful for checking a spot once it has been chosen.
Most systems run from a colour touch screen of 480 x 270 pixels, while the PI system has its own graphic LCD. An external 10.8 V lithium-ion battery is rated for about 18 hours on most systems and 10 hours in PI mode. The full set weighs around 8.6 kg, carries a two-year warranty and offers German, English, French and Arabic menus.
