Overview
The Gold Star 3D Scanner combines two approaches in one case. Long-range systems are used to scan a large area and point toward possible targets, and then the ground scanner shows what lies under the surface. This two-step workflow suits treasure hunters in Pakistan who often search wide hillsides or old settlement areas and need to confirm a signal visually before committing to an excavation.
There are eight search systems: Manual, Automatic and Control long-range locators, ionic, bionic, live stream, 3D ground scan and pin pointer. The manufacturer rates the long-range modes for up to 3000 m of scanning distance and depths up to 50 m, using a stated 250 to 5000 MHz frequency range. These are manufacturer figures, not guaranteed results. The Multi Ground Scanner and V.S.T unit feed the imaging and pinpointing systems.
The main unit has a 5-inch high-resolution TFT screen, 1.4 GHz 64-bit processor, 32 GB of storage and Wi-Fi for transferring scans to an optional Android tablet for 3D viewing. A removable 21000 mAh lithium-ion battery powers the system, and the menu is available in 12 languages including Urdu and Arabic. Everything ships in a single 17 kg hard case.
