MWF MF-60

The MF-60 is MWF's handheld pinpointer, the small probe used after a detector has found a signal to locate the exact spot of a target inside the hole. It is designed for gold, coins, metals and treasure recovery, and helps reduce digging time and damage to finds. It is small enough to carry on a belt and works alongside any brand of main metal detector.

It calibrates quickly and tunes itself to different ground types, and gives both vibration and sound alerts whose response changes with the size of the object. A built-in LED light helps in holes and low light, and the manual describes a scraping blade with 360-degree side detection and a belt holster. The dealer describes it as having high discrimination and sensitivity for small and large objects.

The MF-60 is protected to IP66. One dealer states it can be used to 30 m underwater, but IP66 is a splash and jet rating rather than a submersion rating, so check with the supplier before using it underwater. For Pakistani detectorists using any brand of detector, it is a useful recovery accessory; the MF-90 is the multi-function version. Keep spare batteries on hand for long days.
