Overview
The eXp 5500 Professional is OKM's high-end multi-technology detector, designed for people who want deep imaging and everyday metal detection from the same machine. Its PentaSense system lets the Super Sensor run with one, three or five sensors at once using add-on Enhancers, so the scan width and detail can be matched to the job. An LED Orbit on the sensor shows signals in real time while you work.
Three operating modes cover most field work: 3D Ground Scan, which OKM rates down to 25 m, a Magnetometer for quick ferrous checks, and multi-frequency VLF metal detection with Target-ID zones and discrimination through the 14 x 10 inch PentaCoil. That means the same kit can image a buried chest or void and then search the surface for coins, rings and relics.
The control unit has a bright 8.4-inch IPS touchscreen, a replaceable lithium battery giving around seven hours of use, and USB-C for charging and data transfer. Results can be studied in Visualizer 3D Studio Professional Edition on the supplied Windows notebook.
