Overview
The Fusion Light is OKM's way into 3D ground scanning for newcomers. The control unit is a slim 80 cm rod weighing around 700 g, and instead of a built-in screen it is operated from an Android smartphone running the OKM app. The phone is included in the box with the app already installed, so a new user can start scanning without extra setup.
Two modes are available. 3D Ground Scan records a field in lines and shows any anomalies as a 3D image, with OKM rating this mode down to 8 m. The Magnetometer mode gives a quick indication of ferrous metals. The battery runs for about 12 hours and recharges in around three hours, and data travels over Bluetooth 5.1. Scans can be reviewed on the phone straight away in the field.
For more detailed study, the kit includes a Windows notebook loaded with Visualizer 3D Studio Standard Edition. This makes the Fusion Light a sensible choice for Pakistani buyers who want genuine German 3D imaging for treasure chests, cavities, tunnels and buried metal at a lower entry level. It is not waterproof, carries a two-year guarantee and is made in Germany.
