Overview
The Fusion Ultra Light uses the same compact control unit as the Fusion Light: an 80 cm rod of about 700 g with the sensor built in. The difference is in the package. Rather than shipping a smartphone and laptop, OKM supplies a download code for the Android app, so the buyer uses their own phone (Android 7.1 or newer) as the screen. This keeps the starting cost of the system lower.
It works in two modes. 3D Ground Scan records the ground in parallel lines and builds a 3D picture of anomalies such as metal objects and voids; OKM rates this mode to 8 m. Magnetometer mode is used to check for ferrous metals. The lithium battery lasts around 12 hours, takes about three hours to charge, and data is sent to the phone over Bluetooth 5.1.
A USB drive with Visualizer 3D Studio Standard Edition is included for detailed analysis on a Windows 10 computer.
