Overview
The Rover C4 is a compact, mid-range 3D ground scanner from OKM that ships with two interchangeable probes. The short Standard Probe suits quick, close-range work, while the longer Super Sensor is used for deeper and wider scans. Both have an LED Orbit ring that lights up to signal targets. The control unit has a 3.5-inch colour touchscreen, adjustable LED lighting and four separate memory areas.
Four operating modes are built in: 3D Ground Scan, Pinpointer, Magnetometer and Mineral Scan. OKM states the system can locate treasures, voids and mineral deposits to roughly 25 m. The Mineral Scan mode makes the Rover C4 interesting for natural gold prospecting, while the Pinpointer and Magnetometer help confirm and narrow down metal targets before digging. Switching between modes is done directly on the touchscreen, so the operator can move from a wide scan to close checking without changing equipment.
Data is sent over Bluetooth 5.1 to the included Windows notebook running Visualizer 3D Studio Standard Edition. Weighing around 1.5 kg for the control unit, it is easy to carry in the field.
