XP ICON X

The XP ICON X is the higher model of XP's 2026 ICON range. It keeps the wireless FMF multi-frequency core of the ICON but adds a third single frequency at 28 kHz, which helps with small and thin targets such as fine jewellery and small coins. It also doubles the program count to six factory and six user programs, so experienced users can save settings for different soils and sites.

Control is finer than on the standard ICON. Reactivity has seven levels instead of five and discrimination moves in half-point steps, which helps when separating good targets from iron in trashy ground. The stem has a carbon middle section, bringing the weight down to about 710 g, so the ICON X is comfortable to swing all day on farmland, around old settlements or along the coast.

The detector is rated IP68 to 5 metres, runs about 11 hours on a charge and recharges in around 3 hours. It is compatible with the wider Deus II FMF family, including XP coils, wireless headphones, the MI-6 pinpointer and the Go Terrain app for logging sessions. Made in France, it comes with a 3-year warranty that extends to 5 years after registration.
